FUNERAL PYRES ON ABANDONED SHORES Flames rise high to touch the nightsky, reflecting dimly on the surrounding murky waters. Those who fell after me return to the earth in a blazing pyre, just to be forgotten like all who came to fall before. From these ashes nothing will grow, all is lost.
